This is my story so far – take a look at my before and after photos:
The before photo was taken on 8th December 2017 at my husband’s Christmas party. I was feeling terrible but was committed to going. I had the same outfit on in both photos, in the before photo I squeezed into it and tried to cover myself with a shawl. I hated how I felt and looked. Inside I was in pain, feeling depressed and really not able to understand what my body was going through. That smile I know for sure isn’t how I was feeling inside.
The after photo was taken on 7th July 2018 -This is what Nrf2 activation looks and feels like for me. The smile is how I feel inside. I have gained my life back.
To understand what changed between then and now (aside from a Protandim Nrf2 pill each day) – here is a letter I received from my consultant Rheumatologist:
Your patient was referred to me by the consultant Physiotherapist based at ___________.
As you are aware, Mrs Peacock has suffered with aches and pains in a number of joints, myalgia and persistent tiredness for a while but things have been worse in the last year or so. She is not clear if this may be due to the menopause, also since 1 year along with some post-menopausal symptoms were possibly amplifying her rheumatic symptoms.
She denies joint swelling. She has previously suffered planter-faciitis which is settled. She is fairly active and independent and has undertaken a long walk over 20 miles recently. (I did the Moonwalk in may – 26 miles)
She has been taking some tumeric and herbal tablets (*LYP- I took it to my appoint to show him. At this point I had been taking it for 4 months) which have helped her significantly. Examination was unremarkable. She has normal movements in all peripheral joints but no signs of inflammation. There were no rashes or nail fold abnormalities. Her gait was normal. She has numerous tender spots on her neck, back and peripheral joints. She also has mild dysesthesia over her toes although no numbness.
It is quite possible that this lady suffers from fibromyalgia and I discussed this diagnosis with her. She seemed to be well aware of this condition. She practices reflexology and works on patients with fibromyalgia. I gave her an information booklet on this condition.

So in summary – I suffered from debilitating fibromyalgia symptoms, as well as menopausal related symptoms – this single change transformed my whole body to a far healthier, happier state. I’ve a little way to go, but the change is remarkable!
